Meet The Team

Founder
Dr. Karen M. Corby
Focus Factory Pediatric Occupational Therapy was established by Dr. Karen M. Corby to provide services to the families and children of Dawsonville and surrounding communities. Dr. Corby earned a Doctoral Degree in Occupational therapy from the University of Toledo in 2012 at which time she had a vision of starting a private pediatric practice. Many years later, after working in a variety of settings and specializing in pediatrics, her vision has come to fruition.

Administrative Assistant
Frankie
Frankie handles the behind-the-desk admin of Focus Factory, and joined the staff in 2024. She has lots of hands-on experience working with special needs kids and their families, and in her free time she enjoys knitting, crochet, sewing, and all things fantasy.

Mallory
Mallory is working on getting her bachelor of science in kinesiology at the University of North Georgia. She plans to earn her masters in occupational therapy. She has a passion for helping children achieve goals to help them in the future. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends & family, shopping and watching any sports teams.

Therapy Dog
Izzy
Izzy is 2 years old and enjoys spending time with pet loving friends at Focus Factory eating treats that they make, going for walks, or having her hair brushed. Izzy is known for her strong resemblance to a muppet, soft fur, kind eyes, and gentle nature. Izzy was born in Brunswick, GA and adopted by Dr. Karen Corby in October of 2022. Izzy is a Newfoundland Poodle Mix. We feel very fortunate to have such a special dog to assist us with therapy!
